Gemälde 2006

Seit der Jahrhundertwende nahmen in europäischen Städten Brandstiftungen, Auseinandersetzungen zwischen randalierenden Jugendlichen und der Polizei zu. Das tägliche Bildmaterial in Zeitungen nahm Martin von Ostrowski zum Anlass, diese Form von Gewalt in Gemälden darzustellen. Teils heftige Übermalungen kennzeichnen diese Bilderserie.
